LEGAL & DATA GOVERNANCE DOCUMENT

Privacy Policy

EFFECTIVE DATE: [INSERT VERIFIED EFFECTIVE DATE — DRAFT v2026.11]
PRODUCT / COMPANY: VidSynth AI
WEBSITE: https://vidsynth.app
PRIVACY CONTACT: founder@vidsynth.app
SECTION 01

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how VidSynth AI ("VidSynth," "we," "our," or "us"), operator of VidSynth Studio — Neural VFX Production Suite at https://vidsynth.app, collects, processes, retains, and discloses information when you visit our public website, interact with our browser-based research and development ("R&D") demonstration viewports, or communicate with us regarding Early Access Pilot or Enterprise Compute evaluations.

We are committed to technical and operational transparency. This document distinguishes between data interactions that occur locally in your web browser on our public preview site and data processing that may occur when participating in managed Early Access Pilot or cloud compute workflows.

SECTION 02

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Visitors to https://vidsynth.app and its associated informational, pricing, security, and legal pages;
  • Users interacting with our browser-side R&D demonstration features (including the Interactive Cinematic Comparison Studio, Director Motion Rig, and Bento Showcase); and
  • Prospective creators, technical partners, researchers, and enterprise representatives who contact us via email (founder@vidsynth.app) to request Early Access Pilot participation or commercial evaluation.

Where an organization enters into a separate written pilot or enterprise compute agreement with VidSynth AI, the specific data handling terms of that executed agreement will govern in the event of any conflict with this general policy.

SECTION 03

3. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with VidSynth AI, information collected falls into the following categories:

  • Direct Correspondence & Inquiry Information: When you contact us via mailto:founder@vidsynth.app (either directly or by using the email composer on our website), we receive your email address, name, organization or studio affiliation, intended use case, and any additional details you include in your message.
  • Standard HTTP & Hosting Request Metadata: Like most websites, our static hosting provider and content delivery networks (such as GitHub Pages, Google Fonts, and Tailwind CDN) automatically receive standard network request headers when your browser fetches page assets, including IP address, browser user-agent string, referring URL, and timestamp.
  • Local Browser Session State: Our interface uses standard browser sessionStorage to remember non-sensitive UI states during your browsing session (specifically, whether you have dismissed the top announcement bar under key vidsynth_announcement_dismissed_v1).
  • Pilot & Evaluation Media Assets (When Applicable): If you are admitted to an Early Access Pilot cohort and submit reference video plates, images, or conditioning parameters for processing, we collect and process those submitted files and associated technical metadata to perform the requested evaluation workflow.
SECTION 04

4. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

On our public website (https://vidsynth.app), we do not intentionally collect:

  • Payment card numbers, bank account credentials, or financial billing instruments;
  • Government-issued identification numbers, Social Security numbers, or passport records;
  • Protected health information (PHI) or clinical medical records;
  • Biometric identifiers for law-enforcement or consumer identity surveillance; or
  • Third-party behavioral advertising profiles or cross-site tracking cookies.

Please do not attach sensitive personal data, regulated confidential records, or unauthorized third-party likenesses to unsolicited early access inquiry emails.

SECTION 05

5. Video and Image Processing

VidSynth Studio is designed for neural visual effects workflows, including character transformation, semantic rotoscoping, depth estimation, identity anchor conditioning, and optical flow stabilization.

  • Public Website Reference Footage: All video streams and poster images displayed on https://vidsynth.app are pre-rendered, synthetic R&D reference plates bundled with the website. Interacting with the comparison slider, render pass buttons, or camera motion presets manipulates playback of these pre-rendered reference assets in your browser and does not capture webcam video or upload files from your device.
  • Pilot Program Media Submissions: Where an authorized Early Access Pilot participant submits video or image plates for neural conditioning, those assets are processed to generate conditioning passes (such as segmentation masks, Z-depth maps, and synthesized character frames). Unless explicitly agreed in writing, pilot participants should assume that submitted assets may be temporarily stored on cloud storage infrastructure and inspected by project engineering personnel to diagnose pipeline quality and resolve technical failures.
SECTION 06

6. Browser-Side and Cloud Processing

To ensure institutional clarity, we distinguish between two operational environments:

A. BROWSER-SIDE PROCESSING (CURRENT PUBLIC SITE)

The public website operates in Sandbox Preview Mode. Dual-layer HTML5 video synchronization, frame-stepping, comparison clipping, and mailto link formatting execute locally within your browser's JavaScript runtime. No backend database or live cloud GPU inference is triggered when browsing the public site.

B. CLOUD-SIDE PROCESSING (PILOT & ENTERPRISE WORKFLOWS)

Neural video synthesis, ControlNet conditioning, 16-bit OpenEXR rendering, and optical flow computation require server-side GPU compute. In pilot or enterprise engagements, media assets are transmitted over HTTPS to cloud storage and processed on cloud GPU instances.

SECTION 07

7. Data Storage and Retention

  • Temporary Browser State: UI preference flags stored in sessionStorage persist only for the duration of your browser tab session and are cleared when the tab or browser is closed.
  • Persistent Email Correspondence: Emails sent to founder@vidsynth.app are retained in our project email system for as long as necessary to evaluate partnership or early access requests, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.
  • Pilot Media Retention: During Early Access Pilot evaluations, uploaded source media and rendered outputs may be retained for the duration of the pilot engagement unless earlier deletion is requested by the participant and confirmed by VidSynth AI. Automated cloud lifecycle deletion schedules are planned for production infrastructure deployment and require verification prior to commercial general availability.
SECTION 08

8. Third-Party Infrastructure Providers

Our public website and planned compute architecture rely on third-party infrastructure and service providers, which may process network metadata or communications in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies:

  • Static Web Hosting & DNS / CDN Providers: Used to serve HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and reference video assets for vidsynth.app.
  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com): Used to load the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces.
  • Tailwind CSS CDN (cdn.tailwindcss.com): Used to deliver utility styling rules in the current preview build.
  • Email & Cloud Compute Providers: Used to receive correspondence at founder@vidsynth.app and to host pilot GPU rendering workloads as cloud infrastructure is provisioned.
SECTION 09

9. Security Measures

We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the current stage of our platform, including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit for website delivery, strict exclusion of private API keys or database credentials from client-side JavaScript, and restricted access to project email accounts.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely infallible. Please review our dedicated Security Overview for an accurate breakdown of implemented versus planned security controls.

SECTION 10

10. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information or rent early access contact lists to third-party data brokers. We may disclose information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Infrastructure & Service Providers: To hosting, cloud compute, and email providers necessary to operate our services;
  • With Your Direction or Consent: When you authorize sharing in connection with a joint technical evaluation or partner program review;
  • Legal Compliance & Safety: When required to comply with applicable law, valid legal process, or enforceable governmental requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of VidSynth AI, our users, or the public; and
  • Corporate Transactions: In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or reorganization involving VidSynth AI, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
SECTION 11

11. User Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws to request:

  • Access to the personal information we hold about you in our correspondence or pilot records;
  • Correction of inaccurate or incomplete contact details;
  • Deletion of your early access inquiry correspondence or submitted pilot evaluation materials, subject to applicable legal retention requirements; and
  • Withdrawal of consent to receive future pilot program communications.

To exercise any of these requests, please email founder@vidsynth.app from the email address associated with your inquiry. We may request reasonable verification of your identity before fulfilling the request.

SECTION 12

12. International Data Processing

VidSynth AI is an internationally accessible project, and our hosting, CDN, email, and planned cloud compute providers may process data on servers located in multiple jurisdictions, including the United States, the European Economic Area, or Asia-Pacific regions. By communicating with us or participating in pilot evaluations, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection rules than your country of residence.

SECTION 13

13. Children's Privacy

VidSynth AI and VidSynth Studio are professional visual production tools intended for adults and institutional users. We do not knowingly direct our website to, or solicit personal information from, children under the age of 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
